CHARACTER INFO
Character: Stelle
Canon: Honkai: Star Rail, Patch 2.1, before the very final reveal of that patch (re: a certain girl)
Age: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we just don't know, fam. She looks to be late teens/early twenties though.
Background Information: Wiki Link Uhhhhh Stelle's background is basically the entirety of HSR so... sweats
Personality: Please answer the following questions about your character. Be as clear as possible, and provide examples where you can. You can format this section as either 1) individual sections for each question; or 2) a more freeform essay/paragraph that covers all the topics. Please do not exceed 1200 words total.
1) Tell us about who your character is and what someone’s first impression would be upon meeting them.
Because Stelle is the silent protagonist of her game, it's hard to grasp what is canon of her personality and what is left to player choice. However, it can be argued that Stelle (and her male counterpart) have the strongest personalities of all Hoyoverse games. Stelle is a Trailblazer, a member of the Astral Express Crew, which draws respect from all corners of the universe. Upon meeting her, one would find that she appears to be reserved and stoic at first impression, which may be due to her height and indifferent resting expression. She prefers to let people talk, only interjecting when necessary. Even with the various options presented for the player to pick in dialogue options, it can be noted that every comment tends to be straight to the point, barring the occasional meme-y answer. This is mostly to fit the option boxes but it can be taken to mean that Stelle doesn't meander very much in her speech. It also fits in with the fact that Stelle is level-headed and goal oriented even in crisis situations, which is apparent in every occasion where Stelle is alone and must navigate to the next objective to continue the quest. She will usually internally remark on what needs to be done next, displaying her focus and cool.
While she is a quiet person, she is also quite playful, evidenced by March 7th's representation of her in her mind in her companion quest, and Fu Xuan's comment when Stelle playfully says "something" in response to March getting fed up with her silence and asking her to say something. She also has a very bizarre side to her, which manifests as some off-the-cuff, inappropriate responses (entirely player choice, but that's the way I'm going) and her general curiosity with everything around her. If it can be examined, she will examine it, and maybe even do something if the current state of her environment displeases her. Something something Praise of High Morals (except it's all in her head, so uhhhhh.) In essence, she's a highly curious individual and usually acts on her own moral compass, which generally aligns with the rest of the Astral Express Crew as a bunch of good natured individuals who will help anyone they encounter in distress.
In combat, her demeanor changes to something more intense and ferocious, as she's not afraid to hold back and attacks with her full might. She's also not afraid to put herself in danger to protect people, even if she's just met, such as when she did for March 7th against the Doomsday Beast in Herta Space Station, and when she challenged Cocolia by herself on top of the Engine of Creation. This is because she believes in the motives behind her fights, which are usually to help others, and fails to consider how dangerous her actions are.
Stelle isn't the type to hold grudges, and is fairly laidback, which means she often winds up forming connections very easily with just about anyone and everyone, even those she was opposed against until recently, so long as she has no reason to be opposed to them anymore.
2) What is a driving force your character has? What goals do they have, what motivates them, etc?
Stelle is meant to be somewhat of a blank slate for players to insert themselves into, so in general, Stelle's motivation is her curiosity for the universe (mirroring the player's curiosity for the game's setting). She has little to no memory of her life or if she even existed before Kafka left her at the Herta Space Station, so for all intents and purposes, she's essentially new to everything. However, she is well aware that the Stellaron Hunters have a purpose for her, and left her with the Astral Express with that purpose in mind. This is something that doesn't often cross her mind, but all she knows is that she needs to travel with the Astral Express and make the most out of her experiences. Given that she seems to be on good terms with the Stellaron Hunters, despite them being a faction at odds with the Astral Express, this is likely part of her motivation to continue her journey with the Express Crew. Finally, the Astral Express Crew has become her family, so she moves in concert with the Crew's overall wishes.
Stelle doesn't have any huge goals other than to journey with the Astral Express and help out people where she can. This is similar to most other members of the Astral Express, as their faction is one that explores the cosmos to discover the unknown.
3) What are their flaws as a character? What is something they've messed up, or have done that they regret?
This one is difficult to answer because Stelle is quite literally a blank slate. She has little to no memory of her past, so there's nothing to regret, and barely anything that she's messed up. In the journeys she's undertaken so far, there's barely been a chance for her to screw up something because she is most often used as the physical enforcer for other people's plans, which is a role she excels at, so perhaps the biggest regret she has is failing to save Firefly when she was killed by Something Unto Death. There was little Stelle could have done, but watching her newest friend die so suddenly in front of her left a strong impact, which currently motivates her to pursue the mystery behind Penacony.
4) Optional: What is something unique and interesting about them, or what is a fun little tidbit that sets them apart from the crowd?
She's a trash panda. Not literally, but she canonically has an obsession with trash cans, and trash in general. Trash is even consumable in the game! I really want to know if she's okay after eating all that trash tbh...
Because she's a silent protagonist, I'll use this section to outright state the intended personality traits I'm going with. Firstly, I'm going to lean into the memes, so she will be the type of person who says very strange things at times, but is always thinking weirdly and leans quite a bit on the fourth wall. However, she's generally kind-hearted and more than happy to run errands and tasks for anyone who asks, because she's endlessly curious and likes doing anything and everything. Unlike some player dialogue choices, she rarely gets exasperated being an errand girl and just vibes with whatever's going on around her.
Abilities & Inventory: Generally speaking, Stelle is a fairly normal person! She does have some abnormalities that give her special abilities, but they're far from game breaking. Canon hasn't been clear on Stelle's origins, but she was either created or modified to be a receptacle for a Stellaron, which is an incredibly dangerous object that can destroy worlds with its presence and usually cannot be handled any other way than sealing it to prevent its influence from leaking out. It's called the Cancer of the World for a reason. There's no way for Stelle to use the Stellaron in her body, especially since its seal has been reinforced by Welt, so it almost basically doesn't matter!
Oh, like all Hoyo characters, she has a mysterious subspace storage. I have no idea how much it can store but I promise I'll only be ridiculous with it for meme-y reasons. Like holding trash. Just trash. You're not going to deny the Space Trash Panda her trash bags, are you?
As the only person in the universe harbouring a Stellaron in her body, it has given her the ability to draw the attention of Aeons and gain their blessing. The blessings she has obtained up to her canon point are listed below.
Trailblaze - As a member of the Astral Express Crew, Stelle has the Blessing of Trailblaze. What the blessing gives isn't entirely clear, but it has been noted that it can protect people from extreme weather conditions, and it allows them to use Space Anchors, which are instant teleportation nodes spread across the universe. For obvious reasons, Stelle won't have access to Space Anchors while in Escordvi.
Destruction - Not a blessing she gained, but her default way of combat. Stelle is a heavy hitter who can take a significant amount of damage, so she's quite reliable in a fight. She doesn't rely on any elements, preferring to deal physical damage, and she can charge her hits with energy to hit extra hard. She HAS drawn the attention of Nanook the Destruction, but it's unclear if she received any sort of blessing from that.
Preservation - While using her Blessing of Preservation, Stelle gains access to Fire element attacks, becomes far more impervious to damage at the expense of her attack strength, and she gains the ability to cast shields on herself and draw enemy attention to take damage for her team. This Blessing is tied to the Lance of Preservation, so she's incapable of using these abilities when she doesn't have the lance on hand.
Below is the list of items she will appear with.
Curio Bat - A special baseball bat that Stelle took from Herta Space Station. It can channel energy, which enables her Destruction abilities and looks pretty damn cool! Rules are made to be broken!!!!!!!
Lance of Preservation - An ancient artifact from Belobog with ties to Qlipoth the Preservation. This Lance enables Stelle's Preservation abilities and gives her control over the Engine of Creation (but that thang ain't here so that part doesn't matter!)
Phone - Very important. It can connect to the universe-wide cellular network that allows for instant communication across galaxies, but in Escordvi it will be considered out of service range and thus will not allow her to connect to anyone outside.
Trash Bags - Yes. They're important. Very important. How many trash bags does she carry in her inventory? Mods, do you truly want to know? Are you sure you want to understand the depths of this trash panda's depravity? Well, the answer is.... enough to make a real impact on Escordvi's plots in the future. Heh. Heh.

ARMADA SELECTION
I'm going with Corsair, because this faction best represents the spirit of Trailblaze. Trailblazers are free spirits, often being the first to explore the unknown and discover all there is to see. Trailblazers also do not generally align themselves with an established rule enforcing organization and act on their own beliefs and morals, which would put Stelle at odds with Paladins.
Because Stelle is used to exploring new worlds, she would treat her stay in Escordvi like any other Trailblaze expedition, that is, run around exploring, poking her nose into all the businesses, solving the planet's issues because somehow that always happens to be a thing, helping people, making friends, all that good stuff protagonists usually do!
